Applying to college in the US includes the following steps:
- Collect transcripts (9th, 10th, 11th)
 - Create a Resume (biographical note)
 - Prepare for and take a language proficiency test (TOEFL, IELTS or DUOLINGO)
 - Prepare for and take standardized tests (SAT, ACT) - optional
 - Determine (with parents) estimated annual financial contribution
 - Make a college list (with your counselor) of 10 safety, possible, and reach schools
 - Write a personal statement
 - Write any other required supplement essays
 - Ask for two teacher recommendations
 - Fill out and submit Common Application and/or school applications
 - Collect financial aid materials: parent tax returns and bank letters (to be translated)
 - Fill out and submit all financial aid documents (CSS, ISFAA, FAFSA, ISCFA)
 - Make a decision!
