A limited number of need-based and talent-based scholarships are available. To be considered for these awards, applicants must complete the following steps:
Submit the Academy Application and application fee. While completing the application, indicate your interest in Financial Aid, the Talent Scholarship, or both.
If applying for Financial Aid, submit the requested information in the application.
If applying for the Talent Scholarship, information will be sent to you on how to submit your audition materials.
DESCRIPTION
The high school division offers intermediate and advanced music students the opportunity to work with renowned faculty in a challenging yet supportive environment. Students will participate in large ensembles, chamber ensembles, masterclasses, and an array of music and non-music courses designed to prepare students to enter college.

*Available to students entering grades 10 and 11 (1 and 2 Lyceum)
*Orchestra, vocal, wind ensemble (band), and jazz programs
Intermediate Division
*July 23 – 29, 2023
*Available to students entering grades 7-9 (1, 2, 3 Gymnasium)
*Band, orchestra, and voice programs

"The program has a very full and hands-on schedule every day. It gives a great insight into what studying music at college is like. Students start classes at 8:00 am and finish classes at 8 pm. Students participate in ensembles in which they prepare pieces to perform at the weekends of the two weeks. All teachers are college teachers and are always willing to give advice on how to apply to colleges to study music. The program is a great eye-opener if a student is considering studying music at a university level."

"The Summer Music Academy at Ithaca College is a two-week long, intense, fun music program that expands your musical horizons and opens you up to new experiences. The program includes a variety of classes and electives, a concert at the end of each week, the creation of a music video, exciting evening activities, and much more! I learned so much more than I ever thought I could in such a short period of time. The environment was so welcoming, it was honestly like a home away from home. The overall quality of the music taught was incredible and nothing like I've experienced before."
